United Insurance Brokers (UIB) Group has announced the official opening of a new representative office in Kathmandu, Nepal, as part of its ongoing expansion in Asia.
With regulatory approvals from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Nepal Regulatory Authority, UIB is poised to strengthen its presence in the Nepalese market.
The office will report to UIB’s Asia regional headquarters in Singapore, further solidifying the company’s footprint across Asia.
This new office reflects UIB’s commitment to providing innovative reinsurance solutions and value-added services in Asia’s rapidly growing and diverse markets. With a stronger local presence, UIB aims to build more dynamic, personalised partnerships with Nepalese clients, ensuring that its regional expertise is tailored to their specific needs.
This expansion highlights UIB Group’s focus on increasing its local relevance by directly offering expert knowledge and services to clients.
Tim Church, CEO of UIB International, said, “UIB recognises the importance of understanding local needs and the local environment and the best way to do this is by having local people. We are very proud to have one of the best in Sushil Bajracharya and we welcome him into the UIB Family. Together we look forward to serving the Nepalese people.”
As UIB continues to grow in Asia, the Nepal office will be a key hub for building closer, more impactful relationships with clients and partners across the region.
