UIB arranges travel cover for businesses sending staff on regular trips, whether that’s sales teams visiting clients across the GCC, executives travelling to Europe and the US, or project teams deployed to a site abroad for weeks at a time. Frequency and destination both shape the right structure.

For groups on the road multiple times a year, an annual multi-trip policy is invariably the most cost-effective and easiest solution, for single trip cover, and it takes away the risk that someone might be travelling without cover because a booking was missed. Cover usually provides for medical costs and evacuation, trip cancellation or interruption, loss of baggage and documents, and personal liability in a foreign country. We’re transparent about exclusions: The majority of policies exclude pre-existing medical conditions unless declared, and adventure activities such as extreme sports often require a separate add-on. 

For travel to Europe, Schengen visa insurance has specific minimum medical cover requirements set by the consulates, and we issue certificates that meet those requirements rather than generic ones that get rejected at application. For more distant destinations, we verify that the evacuation coverage extends to the nearest sufficient medical facility, not merely the nearest hospital, which makes a difference in the remote places. 

A question we hear often is ‘does cover apply if a trip is extended last-minute?’ In most cases yes, provided we’re notified before the original policy expires, and our account managers can process that same-day.
